Problems of environmental protection in rural areas

Abstract

It is very common to assume that rural areas are far better preserved regarding healthy environment. This paper tests this thesis and concludes that it is only in part true. Environmental conflicts within the village settlement and its area are numerous. Tranquil autochthonous and healthy living surrounding is endangered by: Intensive agriculture based on the mechanization and utilization of chemical means, lagging behind of the rural areas in terms of communal infrastructure facilities particularly water supply and sewerage systems, villages are endangered also by overloaded public roads and inadequately constructed home sites and estates regarding increasing demands for the rural renewal. More attention in future development and treatment of the rural life should be given to this segment especially in the elaboration of the land redistribution and elaboration of plans of rural settlements.

Uobičajeno je mišljenje da su ruralna područja očuvanija kad je u pitanju životna sredina. U radu se nastoji proveriti ova teza i zaključuje se da je to samo delimično tačno. Brojni su konflikti ekološke prirode u seoskom ataru i u seoskom naselju. Miran autohton i zdrav životni ambijent ugrožavaju: intenzivna poljoprivredna proizvodnja zasnovana na hemiji i mehanizaciji, zaostajanje sela u komunalnom standardu, naročito po pitanju vodosnabdevanja i odvodnje. Sela ugrožavaju i javni opterećeni putevi, kao i neadekvatna izgradnja kućišta u odnosu na sve veće zahteve ruralne obnove. Predlaže se da se u budućem razvoju ruralnih područja ovom segmentu posveti više pažnje, a naročito pri izradi komasacionih elaborata i regulacionih planova seoskih naselja.
