dc.description.abstractThis paper reviews key characteristics of the environmental situation in Yugoslavia before, during and after the NATO bombing against this country. Some principal environmental problems and their sources are described. The 'quality' of soil, water and air, as well as some other environmental parameters is documented by available data collected during the last decade. An analysis of main environmental issues was made. A short review of key environmental policies, instruments and institutions are also presented.en
