An overview of competition projects: Loznica, Zemun, Kikinda, Banja Luka, Šćećin

Abstract

A large number of urban and architectural competitions held this year prompted the editorial board to deal with this theme in the journal 'Architecture and Urbanism' and present the awarded works. The importance of topics taken up by the competitions, the huge number of participants, the diversity of ideas and initiatives ought to remain permanently saved for the future. Numerous polemics set off after the awarding process should encourage architects to deal with multiple issues not only referring to awards but also to an array of unsolved problems in the profession, such as professional regulation responsibility towards the society and space in which they act responsibility towards others and oneself and finally responsibility of the society towards the profession. The overview of awarded competition projects of the central parts of Loznica, Zemun and Kikinda gathered together here may give answers to some open questions and raise others.

Veliki broj urbanističkih i arhitektonskih konkursa, koji su se održali ove godine, podstakli su redakciju da da predlog da se časopis "Arhitektura i urbanizam" pozabavi ovom temom i da nagrađeni radovi nađu mesto u časopisu Značaj tema koje obrađuju ovi konkursi, veliki broj učesnika, raznovrsnost ideja i inicijativa su nešto što treba da ostane trajno zabeleženo kao sećanje za budućnost. Brojne polemike koje se vode nakon dodela nagrada su nešto što treba da podstakne arhitekte, da se danas pozabave mnogim pitanjima koja se ne odnose samo na nagrade, već na niz nerešenih problema u struci kao što su profesionalna uređenost, odgovornost prema društvu i prostoru u kome deluju, odgovornost društva prema struci. Prikazi nagrađenih konkursnih radova centralnih zona Loznice, Zemuna i Kikinde sakupljeni na jednom mestu možda će dati odgovore na neka pitanja koja su ostala nerešena, možda će otvoriti neka nova.
