dc.description.abstractThe kinetics of gas adsorption were studied in an air flow apparatus using carbon tetrachloride as the adsorbate and activated carbon cloth as the absorbent. Thee theoretical models: Wheelers, Yoon-Nelsons and Ackleys were used to characterize the performance of adosrbent. Wheelers and Ackleys models are in a good agreement with experimental data only for breakthrough percentage below 15%. The Yoon-Nelsons model agrees with experimental results over the entire range of contaminant breakthrough percentage.en
